How to Delete Your Account (In-App)
You can delete your account and all associated data directly within the StepNGet mobile application. Please follow these steps:
Open the StepNGet app on your mobile device.
Navigate to the Profile screen using the bottom navigation bar.
Scroll down and select Delete Account.
Read the confirmation prompt and tap Confirm to permanently delete your account.
โ ๏ธ Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your accumulated points, rewards history, and personal data will be removed.
Already Uninstalled the App?
If you have already uninstalled StepNGet from your device, you can still request deletion of your account and data by contacting us directly โ no reinstall required.
Email us at support@stepnget.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include your registered email address or username so we can locate and process your request.
Our team will confirm receipt of your request and complete the deletion within 7 business days. You will receive a confirmation email once your account has been permanently removed.
What Data Gets Deleted
Upon completing the account deletion process โ either in-app or via email request โ the following will be permanently and securely deleted from our active databases within 7 business days:
- Personal profile information (name, email address, phone number)
- Account settings and preferences
- Step tracking history and fitness data
- Accumulated StepPoints and rewards balance
- Redemption history and transaction records
- Referral codes and referral activity
- Any uploaded profile photos or content
Data Retention Exceptions
We only retain minimum transactional or log data where strictly required by law, financial regulations, or essential fraud prevention systems. Specifically, we may retain:
- Basic transaction logs required by Ghanaian financial regulations
- Fraud detection records necessary to protect our platform and other users
- Anonymised, aggregated analytics data that cannot identify you personally
This retained data is anonymised or minimised to the fullest extent possible and is never used for marketing or shared with third parties. It does not include your personal profile, rewards balance, or activity history.
